I am a bit.........bored about autumny days but this is my City

Probably you don't believe me but i prefer the snow and the cold WITHOUT wind.

Regarding your question about the quantity of falls my database starts since spring 2006 and for climate reasons I have only the rainy falls since june to august for every year.
These are the average monthly quantity divided by month

june 220 millimeters
july 165 millimeters
august 245 millimeters

I don't have the heating for my 5 weather station - it is impossible to use it with low temperatures here - and for this reason since september to may I don't have the opportunity to calculate the snow falls melt in water.

Well, about the heating of the rain gauge, I definitely understand that it's impossible to meausure the melted snow with -30°C/-40°C...

However, the amount of rainfall during Summer (JJA) you've posted leaves me speachless!! About 650mm/3months!! Truly, I was totally wrong thinking of Siberia as a sort of "cold desert" without exception. Really interesting Sergej!!

Regarding your comment on the falls Sibiria is a continent and the its major part is under the semi permanent siberian high pressure. Few oblast don't arrive to 200 millimeters of falls in 1 year. In opposite Noril'sk such as Kajerkan, Talnakh and Dudinka are under the influence of the low pressure located normally over Ostrov Dikson isle. This isle is located over 70 of latitude and I went twice for job with an old airplain I was afraid of landing........

In additional to my previous message i would like to say that in 2010 june was wetter than normally, july was colder but dryer and august in on the average for falls and temperature.

Today i am having few clouds but also a bit of sunshine. After a lot of clouds in the morning then the sky is often blu and visibility is very good. It is possible to clearly see the Putorans in northern direction (in front of the webcam)

The temperature is more then acceptable for August + 12.9 degrees. Wind is normal around 10 kil hour.

Nothing to add. For the week end if the forecasts are confirme I will have more rain sometimes heavy or moderate and I have to jump my visit to the norilchian lake here outside. No fish no eat J
