How tall are those mountains ? 3.000 meters ?

One thing can be interesting for me in summer, to see how can the snow survive in Lebanon mountains.....

I put here 3 photos from the airplane (taked by my brother Francois the 5 June, in return for Dubai to Beirut)

Anti-Lebanon mountains: alt max 2629 m (without Mount Hermon with 2814 m)
Lebanon mountains: alt max 3083 m
but here we can see a zone between 2000 and 2600 m

don't forget, it was 5 June, and not now....(but I think that we still have some patches of snow...)

A heatwave here in Lebanon

I have had 31,0 clear
Beirut airport 32,2
Haouch el Oumara, internal plain 38,5

The past week end we had some really high t max especially in the interior plain of the Bekaa. The heat continues, but not like before.

Here is the table Mundomanz for extreme temperatures
Beirut airport (central coast)
Haouch el Oumara (interior plain of the Bekaa between the two chains, at 920 m) 40.1 t max Saturday!
Tripoli (north coast)

Here are the extremes of temperatures in three stations in Lebanon these days according to Mundomanz:

I must remember that Beirut is on the central coast, Tripoli on the north coast, and Haouch el Oumara in the interior plain of the Bekaa (between the two chains parallel to the Mediterranean Sea.) at 920 meters!

It's hot but it's still good compared to the interior of the Middle East .........
the relative humidity is high on the coast and that makes the summer unpleasant
In the interior it's low (but the t max are higher)

Haouch and Oumara (inland plain of the Bekaa Valley between the 2 chains, alt. 920 m)
26.8 - 34.9 - 18.4
(23.3 - 31.2 -15.4)

no rain reported in July!

Can you tell me which was the highest min temperature ? For me it is impressive you reported 24,0 as average min temperature.

Yes, it's 26,0 C
But they reported the temperatures hourly (24 the day), and the t min can be a little inferior.
Anyway it's incredible to have these averages. For that it's important to have AC
