Hello I discover this thread
Something worries me about Ulrichen :
SLF and meteosuisse don't have the same numbers, even on daily snowdepht
(manual method for all , same coordonnates , it's here : https://s.geo.admin.ch/7979e0e57e
For exemple today meteosuisse 176 cm SLF 150 cm
Valeurs de mesures aux stations
Valeurs mesurees - SLF
every year it's the same, sometimes not a big difference but sometimes it's huge :
For exemple 2006 MAXIMUM SD :
météosuisse 255 cm Climatologie mensuelle en mars 2006 à Ulrichen | climatologie depuis 1900 - Infoclimat
SLF 210 cm ( list of 5 years maximums page 51 in Schnee und Lawinenin den Schweizer Alpen 2006 2007)
SLF maximum is 265 cm 14/02/1951 , followed by 1946 and 1975 260 cm , and behind it a lot in the 220/230cm range but I don't have SLF maximums from 2008 to 2013
(i can't compare meteosuisse 2009 maximum252 cm to numbers of SLF )
Oberwald ( since 1969) SDmax 1975 302 cm , followed by 1999 (265 cm ) and a lot in 260 to 250 cm range , 2006 maxi was behind 237 cm
For daily snowfall Ulrichen SLF numbers are
oct :6 cm, 1°november to 28 february 628 cm, march 41cm
( from today direct json/text file from SLF -> i build a table in 2 minutes )
some others totals in my topic
About Austrian huge snow spots "est" has posted a lot of nice information (as usual )
i check Loser and Tauplitz
http://lawine-steiermark.at/content/...ik7T/Loser.png
http://lawine-steiermark.at/content/...T/Tauplitz.png
(their maximums are in the 500 cm range (2009) they joined a top list for < 1650 m ASL range with guppen SLF , Vogel slovenia , Mt baker , and lots of japaneses ... ) )
A must see for snow stats lovers , page 122 and 31 here http://www.umwelt.steiermark.at/cms/...20Vers_2.0.pdf

Mabye the SLF and Meteoswisse station aren't exactly in the same place? I think that Goms and Obergoms are quite windy during snowfalls, so it can be differences also between two stations in different parts of the same village...
Off Topic:
here: Tirol Atlas - Cronaca degli eventi naturali del Tirolo - Ricerca tema "Neve" (1838-01-01 - 1834-01-01) you can find another evidence of huge snowdepths of 1836 winter in south-eastern Alps (6.5 m max snowdepth in Obertilliach village). I see that you mention that in a post in infoclimat.fr
Bufere in corso a Ulrichen e Zermatt
