This is a life-threatening situation. Residents in the Abacos
should continue to stay in their shelter as the eastern eyewall of
Dorian is over the area.

Hazards:
- Wind Gusts over 220 mph
- Storm Surge 18 to 23 feet above normal tide levels with higher
destructive waves

These hazards will cause extreme destruction in the affected areas
and will continue for several hours.

should continue to stay in their shelter as the eastern eyewall of
Dorian remains over the area. Residents in eastern Grand Bahama will
begin to experience the western eyewall soon.

- Wind Gusts over 220 mph
- Storm Surge 18 to 23 feet above normal tide levels with higher
destructive waves

and will continue for several hours.

Recon extrapolated pressure of 914mb and flight-level winds in the NW eyewall of 150 kt indicate that #Dorian has probably leveled off and stopped intensifying.

Dorian remains over the area. Residents in eastern Grand Bahama are
experiencing the western eyewall. Do not leave your shelter as the
eye passes over, as winds will rapidly increase on the other side
of the eye.

- Storm Surge 18 to 23 feet above normal tide levels with higher
destructive waves

GRAND BAHAMA...

This is a life-threatening situation. Residents in the Abacos
should continue to stay in their shelter as the northern eyewall of
Dorian remains over the northern portion of the island. Residents in
eastern Grand Bahama are experiencing the western portion of
the eyewall. Do not leave your shelter as the eye passes over,
as winds will rapidly increase on the other side of the eye.
Conditions will continue to deteriorate over the remainder of Grand
Bahama Island tonight.

Hazards:
- Wind Gusts over 220 mph
- Storm Surge 18 to 23 feet above normal tide levels with higher
destructive waves

Ha raggiunto una bassa pressione di 910 mb nel suo occhio, attualmente 916 mb, ma si sposta ad appena 1 mph, cioè nemmeno 2 km/h.

Che mostro questo uragano di categoria 5! Ho provato a cercare dati da Freeport o dalle Bahamas, ma non ho trovato informazioni meteorologiche per ieri e oggi. Sarà che la violenza dell’uragano ha distratto ogni strumento di rilevazione. Si va dunque per stime.

Velocita del vento massimo medie scese a 165 mph, circa 265 km/h, dopo aver toccato ieri un picco di quasi 300 km/h (185 mph).

Assurdo!
