Web 2.0 - l'inizio della fine?

Si parla tanto di Web 2.0 anche se in realtà non esiste una vera e propria definizione per questo fenomeno.
Eppure c'è già chi intravvede segnali che fanno pensare alla sua fine:

Sinceramente su alcuni punti mi ritrovo completamente d'accordo con l'autore:

Many of the web2.0ish stuff is just pretty graphics with no real use. How many of the tag clouds you see are actually useful? On the contrary, how many of these new sites have accessibility issues?

Content issues - I've heard of child *****graphy been uploaded to e.g. MyVideo (a YouTube clone popular in Germany, since it's doing huge advertising and is on TV), and them taking multiple days to remove it. I wouldn't be suprised if that happens with YouTube as well, but they probably are faster in reviewing and deleting such contents.

Security issues - Javascript and webbrowsers aren't well-suited for writing reliable and secure programs. Face it. We're already seeing the first attacks on the Google API, expect much more of these attacks to surface. I wouldn't be surprised if spammers already make heavy use of such APIs to harvest email addresses.

Sono sempre stato convinto (e lo sono sempre di piu') che in realta' Web 2.0 non vuol dire niente.

Lo confermano molte fonti autorevoli.

La stessa wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_2), oltre che innumerevoli forum e ambienti di discussione, non riescono nemmeno a definire di cosa si tratti. Cito da Wiki:

"Given the lack of set standards as to what "Web 2.0" actually means, implies, or requires, the term can mean radically different things to different people.
Many of the ideas of Web 2.0 already featured on networked systems well before the term "Web 2.0" emerged."

"Conversely, when a web-site proclaims itself "Web 2.0" for the use of some trivial feature (such as blogs or gradient boxes) observers may generally consider it more an attempt at self-promotion than an actual endorsement of the ideas behind Web 2.0.
"Web 2.0" in such circumstances has sometimes sunk simply to the status of a marketing buzzword, like "synergy", that can mean whatever a salesperson wants it to mean. The argument also exists that "Web 2.0" does not represent a new version of World Wide Web at all, but merely continues to use "Web 1.0" technologies and concepts."

Nel mio blog col cacchio che le ho messe.

nel "web 2.0 " va spesso anche la grafica "Rounded Corners", che a me lascia
perplesso in molti casi.

Le "Security Issues" lasciano effettivamente un minimo Perplessi...

Boh... tutto ciò che "fa moda" non è detto che sia funzionale.
Prova a fare un giro nel reparto audio di un centro commerciale e dimmi cosa vedi: molto probabilmente vedrai una sfilza di micro-impianti dal suono infimo caratterizzati da un front panel con più luci della USS Enterpise.

Poi gira l'angolo ed entra nel reparto Hi-Fi e dimmi ancora cosa vedi: ottimi prodotti che producono eccelenti suoni... con due o tre led rossi giusto per dire "guarda che mi hai già acceso".

Non è la stessa teoria di fondo?

be dai le tag clouds non sono poi cosi male anzi..certo non ti cambiano la vita ...
io l'unica cosa nuova utile che mi aspetto sarà il nuovo renering dei font nel css 3.

hai visto che spettacolo le specifiche CSS3?

Hanno delle funzionalità interessantissime (alpha channel, rounded corner...), speriamo soltanto che i browser maggiori si adeguino alla svelta.

Per non parlare poi di HTML5
