Yes, I'm notice the difference between your total and their total of snowfall days..
About cumul of snow:
We read in the climatic books that in the siberian regions they don't have in average very cumuls of snow, but the long duration of snow is a fact because they have a very cold and a long winter....
But in the temperate regions, the mountains can have many more snow but it is the quantity of snow that assure the long duration and not the very cold like your region.......

for example:
Alpes at 2500 m with -8 +8 2000 mm 10 m snow 9 month duration
Siberia at the plain -35 +15 500 mm 1,5 m snow 9 month duration

Are you with this opinion?

For that, my interest is to know how much you have cumul of snow in the year in average.......

Ciao Andre' I had a look at the links and I think that they are reliable. Probably for Norilsk the days with snow/rain falls are more than in the link; recently I noticed an increase of days with falls expecially in since 2008 to 2010. For instance in January 2010 we received about 2 meters of snow when normally January is considered a dry month. july 2010 was a rainy month with 3 thunderstorms and another 7 days with rain.
