Situazione mappe GFS-MNW :: funzionalitÃ* ripristinate

Come avrete notato, alcune delle mappe GFS-MNW non vengono più aggiornate da venerdì 23 giugno.


Purtroppo si tratta di mappe utilissime proprio in questi giorni: in pratica sono bloccate tutte le mappe GPT/RH-Omega/Vento relative all'Italia e all'Europa.

Altre mappe invece continuano ad assere pubblicate senza problemi.


Purtroppo i mancati aggiornamenti sono indipendenti da MeteoNetwork: si è infatti verificato un problema su uno dei server dai quali attingiamo i dati per generare le mappe.

NCEP Central Operations can not make changes while in a critical weather day so the routing of NOMADS data flow can not begin until after the critical weather day is over (Mid-Atlantic flooding potential from the excessive rainfall), which from the models, perhaps, will be Wednesday (June 28, 2006). At that time the data flow should resume. In addition, all have agreed to make progress on the moving of the NOMADS data flow to the way the operational system known as "ftpprd" and "gateway" or tgftp, does data transfer, to avoid duplication and have better control, by the operations, especially when operational backup systems are invoked on the development side of the computers. This means that NOMADS will benefit from improved reliability when this system is in place. Also this represents a conduit for the migration of other NOMADS functions (http, fast ftp, ftp2u/ftp4u, pdisp, OPeN-DAP(DODS/GDS). A "NOMADS Integration Project 2006" is a response that NCO and EMC have agreed to establish and there is funding for this purpose. I will keep you posted on its progress. As usual we will back-fill missing data if possible ASAP. Again, sorry for the lapse in data on the servers. Do use ftpprd ftp://ftpprd.ncep.noaa.gov/pub/ until the data flow is resumed.

In pratica a causa delle condizioni meteorologiche avverse non possono mettere mano ai server e il flusso dei dati rimarrÃ* interrotto presumibilmente fino a Mercoledì 28 Giugno, almeno secondo quanto dicono i modelli previsionali che prospettano la fine dell'allerta alluvioni per oggi.

Non ci resta che aspettare e sperare che il problema venga risolto al più presto.

Eh giÃ*, è da qualche giorno che alcune mappe in rete non sono aggiornate, tra cui le mappe di Van Der Velde ( http://www.lightningwizard.com/maps/ ) molto importanti per previsioni temporalesche e i plot GFS, sempre per lo stesso motivo.
