The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
Tornado Watch for portions of

west central and northwestern Arkansas
southwest into part of central Missouri
eastern Oklahoma

Effective this Friday afternoon and evening from 1205 PM until
900 PM CDT.

... This is a particularly dangerous situation...

Destructive tornadoes... large hail to 2 inches in diameter...
thunderstorm wind gusts to 70 mph... and dangerous lightning are
possible in these areas.

The Tornado Watch area is approximately along and 65 statute
miles east and west of a line from 30 miles west northwest of
Vichy Missouri to 60 miles west of De Queen Arkansas. For a

Remember... a Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.

Discussion... conditions continue to favor tornadic supercells this
afternoon and evening across this region ahead of broad mid/upper
level trough. Shear remains extreme both in the lower and mid
levels... with air mass now becoming very unstable into sern OK and
moderately unstable into central MO. Storms expected to intensify
during the next 1-2 hours... with renewed development likely across
wrn portions of ww through this evening along near stationary
surface trough. Supercells could become long-lived with potential
for particularly strong/damaging tornadoes... especially from
E-central OK/W-central AR into MO.

Aviation... tornadoes and a few severe thunderstorms with hail
surface and aloft to 2 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface
wind gusts to 60 knots. A few cumulonimbi with maximum tops to
500. Mean storm motion vector 24035.

Un pò fuori stagione,ma comunque può capitare. Ricordo un'outbreak anche a gennaio.
