Replace reed switch at rain gauge 2300

Good morning at all .
Βecause i had some false rain readings at last days , i replaced the reed switch from my rain gauge la-crosse 2300 ,the gold plating at reed switch maybe falling off and causing a trembling contact,for this reason i had sometimes false rain readings at days without clouds in the sky.
And until now i do not have false rain readings.
