    Hi

A small introduction first of all, I'm Jasper from Bruges in Belgium and I have a deep interest in weather. You may have seen me on wxforum under the name "Jasper3012". I've been measuring weather for a few years now and started a comparison between the Barani MS Pro (Gen 2) and the Davis 24/7 FARS in May. Someone from wxforum brought this new shield to my attention and from what I've seen on this thread, it's looking like a very good alternative to the Barani MS Pro. I don't speak Italian so it's difficult for me to understand everything on this thread, could someone maybe give me a summary of the main points so far, with regards to the performance of this SmartCellino shield and how it compares to other shields? From the graphs and tables I've seen, it seems to perform very close to the MS Pro by day and maybe a touch cooler by night? Kind regards, Jasper.

    Hi Jasper,

SMarT CELLino by Siap+Micros is a SRS created with an important objective, that of filling a quality gap in the range of professional products usually used in official bodies, produced by various companies which I will not name but which, in the comparisons carried out, have highlighted some limitations in their main function.

It was not created with the aim of beating those who, to date, are the best specialized natural ventilation SRS, such as Barani, Cometsystem, Metspec or Campbell, but rather trying to get closer to them, thus allowing us to have official data of greater credibility.

This does not mean that SMarT CELLino can also be an interesting proposal for the advanced amateur sector, both by virtue of its performance and the quality/price ratio, perhaps one of the most interesting today.

The tests have been active for many months and, recently, some users of our association have actively participated in them.

From the first data I can confirm the quality of the product, although we will still have to wait a long time to have a complete picture that covers all possible conditions.

I remain at your disposal for further information

Hi Mauro, I'd be interested in putting this shield to the test in my location, Brugge (Belgium). Would I qualify for the 50% discount? As you can probably recall, I've been testing the Davis 24/7 FARS vs the Barani MS Pro (Gen 2) since May, I'd definitely be interested in adding this Cellino shield to that comparison. I only have 2 temperature sensors setup there now so I'd probably temporarily do Barani vs Cellino, but with the intention of adding a third temperature sensor, so we can compare to the Davis aswell. Pic of my setup if you don't remember it, it is a good location for proper testing. Maybe it's also interesting for you guys to see the performance of the shield in a much more maritime climate, compared to the Mediterranean climate that you've all got in Italy.
