Hello, at first let me say your webcam is very nice with the sun on top of the mountains.

I have 5 rainwise after having had 2 Davis vantage pro 2. I replaced them because below -40 degrees they didn’t work properly. Frankly speaking also the Rainwise have some problems in connections below – 50 degrees but it happens not so oftern.

my station are in Noril'sk, Kajerkan, 2 in Talnakh and the last one near the lake.

In Dudinka I have bought with a friend of mine a professional weather station, please look at the picture. It works between – 60 till + 50 and the wind can blow till 50 meters per second.

I have 2 Davis and 1 termohigro sensor Sensirion with a Nesa professional rain gauge.
You can see it on the picture at the top of my home in Viterbo.
In Viterbo the temperature rarely falls below -5 degrees

That weather station is made by the Russian Military Force and it's named npo mashinostrojenja. The anemometer is an ultra-sonic one.

I tested the station at the end of October with my friend Petr and I remember that I had to stay in Dudinka for 2 days because the street between our 2 Cities was temporarly closed.

The max wind gust reported in Dudinka was 114 kil per hour in this winter in progress. This station is mounted near the port and it is used also by local Authority for professional matters.

In Noril'sk now I report a warm -5.7 degrees. Temperature is increasing rapidly as forecasted few days ago. There is moderate snow and wind around 32 kil per hour.

The station has a price for about usd 6.500 but because of made by military force it is not for sale for everyone.

Now I report moderate snow and around - 7.2 degrees. If I don't consider 6 hours 2 days ago it is snowing for 6 days without end.

I should move from now to - 46 in 2 days.

Here winter is in progress.

Difficult day: -33.3 degrees but wind is blowing furiously. Wind chill is -49.4 degrees.

The result is often the same. Alykel and streets around Noril'sk are closed to the civil transports.
