Hello everybody!
Today begins the meteorological season of spring, although I have repeated several times, that we should follow here in Lebanon the astronomical seasons for the climate, however, because we must respect the rules, I use too March, April and May as spring and not from 21/03 to 21 /06.
I don't have now informations of the last day of February, with the data from the NOAA-NCDC GSOD but already 'I can tell you that we are about +1.5 C above normal in Beirut airport (15.2 instead of 13.7 C). Instead, the rains are ok in February (148.8 mm compared to 133.4 mm on average), but not yet for the agricultural year (which counts from 1 September 2010) because November was without rain! ....
Here today
t min 10,8
t current 16.2
very cloudy
we always snow on the 1500-1800 m I think (because I don't see the mountains covered by clouds)
However, since March has the same average of December, we do not be surprised if we see snowfall on the mountains again this month (sometimes even at low altitude). It can happen too to have the hot and dry wind from the Sahara (Khamsin).
We'll see what are the surprises of March 2011 .....
Bye!
André
luckly Guy. You are already writing about spring. How was your winter ? I am sure you are not safistated because of missing snow but take care of your mild climate.
+16.2 degrees now ????

Yes, only because I must respect the climatic divisions of the seasons....For me it's better the astronomic method....(in the italian 3D about the methods I wrote about that)
bad winter, because it was mild, and not enough rainy, not enough snowy....but March can do something about this....I hope....
I have had 20,4 C...
cloudy
