9:45 a.m.-10 a.m. Auction participants will submit bids and offers for the debt backing the credit default swaps, which will be used to determine the initial recovery rate of the swaps.

10:30 a.m. Auction administrators Creditex and Markit will publish the initial recovery price and the open interest for the contracts will be published. The open interest reflects the amount of bids and offers that have been made, and will show if there are more buyers than sellers, or vice versa.

12:45 p.m. -1 p.m. Participating dealers will submit limit orders for the debt on behalf of themselves and their clients to fill the open interest

2 p.m. The final price of the auction will be published.... BOOM!

Di fatto è molto meno esposta della stessa Intesa, ma ambedue non hanno comunque particolari problemi, a meno che non ci sia qualcosa di nascosto.

E' quel eventuale qualcosa di nascosto che mi preoccupa non poco!!!!!, se saltano le due banche più importanti d'Italia (tra l'altro in famiglia abbiamo il conto sia in Unicredit che in Intesa), son caxxi amari per tutto il paese!.

Tuttavia pare che l'agonia potrebbe essere prolungata: infatti pare che oggi sarà solo fissato il prezzo, le banche indebitate non saranno costrete a pagare prima del 21 Ottobre:

Vipal Monga today mentions something I was unaware of: the Lehman CDS auction today is not the end of the story when it comes to settling those trades. All it does is set the price: settlement doesn't happen until October 21, the week after next. In other words, to the degree that there's nervousness over counterparties being unable to meet their CDS obligations, it's going to remain through not only this weekend but also the weekend afterwards.

Ciononostante le voci sul collasso dovuto a Lehman si moltiplicano: CNBC riferisce di una imminente nazionalizzazione di Goldman Sachs e Morgan Stanley, forse nel weekend:

“I don't wish to spread alarm on the line people but the big issue confronting the market is I'm afraid the health and sustainability of Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs" Hugh Hendry, Partner and CIO at Eclectica, told CNBC. "It is unimaginable that they can be allowed to go, I suspect that they will nationalized at some point today or over the weekend," he add.
