I was thinking about your climate...you should have an average annual temperature of about -7°...so, you should live in the coldest city of the world, and surely one of the coldest adn the windiest ones! Maybe just Jakutsk can beat you (it has an annual mean of -9° or -10°)! Yellowknife is a little warmer, I don't know the temperatures of Iqaluit but I'm not sure it is properly a city (just 9000 people). In fact now Norilsk is one of the last cities that are still under 0° degrees, Helsinki is over! :D

I have seen the picture of my Norilsk. The ploschad (place) in the first picture is not far from Kosmomolskaja prospekt my home.

Of course the wind can create mountains of snow in one side and less snow in other one.

Now we have about 6 meters of snow. Every day tons and tons of snow are removed by yellow big trucks and moved to the thundra outside Norilsk.
