Plus , probably , it's a very dry and powderous snow , i think. It's coming with the very cold from the great north of canada.

I'm not sure but I guess that around Lake Tahoe the ammount of snow at the end of winter time should be considerable. Many people thinks California weather is "Frisco weather" but is not

California is worldwide famous mostly for its biggest cities, esp for LA and SF. When hearing the word "California", most people think of the lavish lifestyle of Malibu and Beverly Hills. That's not California. It is, at most, just a part of it. The truth is that its landscape is so wide and diverse that you can really find a lot of different kinds of weather as well.
Believe it or not, I'm pretty sure that the biggest U.S. ski resorts are actually set in California.
