Here it's sunrise time. Some flurries in the sky and exactly -11 degrees and it is still dropping.

Very beautiful!......but we want to see the top of polar day after.....

Here we have a thunderstorm at Beirut!........now 17.7 C.......(11.45 AM).

some snowfall this morning in the higher mountains of Lebanon.......but really very little.....

Yes, when you think about Lebanon, you can immagine the sunny and hot days.

It can be thrue on the coast in summer, yes! like Beirut......

But Lebanon is covered by mountains.......and you can see the snow for long time because.

We have the 50% of the country over 1000 m, alt max 3083 m...
The disposition of mountains are vertical to the humid perturbations became from the mediterranean sea. Stau effect.....
The majority of precipitation here are in winter, for that it can be easy for rain to turn in snow in the mountains....

We have normally 6 month of snow cover on the summits, and some small patches can resist in summer over 2500 m......

The date is visible in the last photo, 2 February 2008, at 1300 m, mountain at 2400-2600 m.

Yesterday it was a rainy day at Beirut........today it was sunny..but tomorrow it will be rainy again...with some snowfalls on the higher mountains...I'll tell you if it will happen....

April has had 18,9 C like average of temp. at Beirut (wunderground values)....the normal average is 18,0.
In the winter it was very more mild than the normal values...

Now I have 17.4 (10.30 PM)

Me too. I had April with average temperatures.

Their range was - 24.5 degrees to + 3.9 degrees. It also rained twice.
