What André wrote is right. I'm from Northern Italy (44.6 N, 10.7 E), and this summer has been too hot, until now; especially July was something horrible for me (maximum temperatures often over 32/34°C).
August starded good, with some rain and gentle temperatures.

Now 11.15 p.m there is the sun and good temperature around + 11 degrees. Windy this morning with a windstorm but nice for the rest of the day.
