The headline is screaming that the coldest winter in 1,000 years is on the way for Russia. While I think it will be colder than normal for the European part of Russia, I am not that cold...
In the meantime, the Earth's temp is up in September to .6 above normal as the fall I am predicting has not started yet. I am up front about all this, and right or wrong, I will keep you on top of it. I am expecting temps March-June of next year to be at least normal, and probably below. In any case, 1998 is still the warmest year on record, but 2010 is now only .05 degrees behind it!
This is the biggest disconnect ever seen between the Pacific tropical temps and the Earth's temps, which suggests that the drop coming is going to be at least as dramatic as I am forecasting. Time will tell.
