Those are Cimini mountains, medium-size hill of volcanic origin, of about 1000 mt.

Here the snowstorm has started 30 minutes ago. The fog is the picture is not fog but snow that is flying in the sky.

Look at the latest picture. In the previous one you could see the street, now everything is white and the wind is blowing furiously at 62 kilometers per hour. Local airport has been closed and I'm a luckly guy to get the home few hours ago

Is it normal that in Norilsk snow that much, or is it a particolar period?

I've also another question for you: how long is it common to see snow? Until may, june?

The snowstorm is in progess. Temperature is -8.6 degrees with wind around 52 kil per hour. Visibility is better than yesterday evening. Airport closed but civil transports should open regularly this morning. Unfortunately I have to go in office but I hope to be able to get back home this afternoon.

From my window I suppose a snow depth in this night for about 10 centimeters but it is very variable and based on the wind direction.

5,23 in the morning. First light of the morning. Temperature -9.7 degrees and wind around 52 kil per hour. Flurries.

This winter is being particularly snowy. Normally in this period we could have around 4 meters but in this month the total snow dept is around 6,5 meters. it depends on the wind exposure. in few places the snow can be 4 meters and in other ones 7 meters. it is very variable.

Normally the snowfalls stop by the third week of May.
